Tomten Farm
Tomten Farm is a small diverse farm run by Brian Garretson and Autumn Campbell on 18 acres in Prince Edward County, Virginia. With 2.5 acres dedicated to annual vegetable production, Tomten Farm offers a wide array of organically grown produce and herbs for local markets, restaurants, and their CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) shares. Our goal is to offer high quality, excellent tasting produce for people who love to cook. While focused on produce, Tomten Farm is a diverse operation, which involves raising animals for meat on our pastures throughout the farm.
At Tomten Farm’s stand, you can find a wide diversity of radicchio and chicories (in the Fall & Winter), delicious bitter greens, a mix of Asian & Italian sprouting crops such as yu choy (which is related to bok choy), chinese broccoli, piricicaba broccoli, broccoli rabe (which is related to turnips), and garlic (all year long!). Find green garlic March - May, garlic scapes in May, fresh garlic May - June, and cured garlic heads July - January.
Find Tomten Farm at the Saturday Pizza Bones Market, Ellwood Thompson, and visit these retailers who use their produce: Sub Rosa Bakery, Restaurant Adarra, Pizza Bones, Celladora Wines, and more! Tomten Farm is also at Birdhouse Farmers Market every week throughout the season!
