Located at 1507 Grayland Ave RVA 23220 (next to the Randolph Community Center Basketball Courts + Pool).

The In-Person Market runs May - November / Tuesdays, 3:00 - 6:30 pm

Birdhouse Online Farmers Market - operates year-round. Shop 6am Thursday - 3am Monday for pick up on Tuesday during the market.

Birdhouse Winter Market (December - April): is Online Only with Curbside Pickup on Tuesdays, 4pm-6pm. Pickup is at 1415 Grayland Ave. (right in front of the Randolph Community Center). Order online and pickup using your car, bicycle, motorcycle, or feet as transport. We’ll aggregate your order and load it for you.

Birdhouse Community Garden Workdays (March-December): Located in Petronius Jones Park just through the gazebo from the market space, we host work days on the first Saturday of the month, 9am - 12pm (weather depending). Spend an hour or the whole morning playing in the dirt while learning how to grow, prepare and preserve your own food. Tools and equipment provided and there are always activities for children. Programs and Services

SNAP/EBT is accepted at Birdhouse with the Virginia Fresh Match Program doubling every SNAP dollar spent. SNAP and SNAP Match can be used at the market or online. More info available online or by emailing: birdhousefarmersmarket@gmail.com

Composting: 24/7/365. In partnership with NOPE, Birdhouse hosts a community composting program where community members can bring food scraps in a reusable container or bag that you can dump into the bins from. The bins are located next to the brick gazebo between the swimming pool and tennis courts next to the blue shed at Birdhouse Community Garden. The bins currently are not accepting biodegradable plastics - just food scraps in the bins please!

Gleaning the Market: Every week, our vendors generously provide the Second Baptist Church Food Pantry with bread, produce, eggs and other goodies for their Wednesday morning food pantry.

Music at the Market: We invite local musicians to play at Birdhouse. If you are interested in playing, contact the Market Manager at birdhousefarmersmarket@gmail.com

Kids Activities: A food focused scavenger hunt for children is available at the Welcome Tent. Check the Birdhouse Social Media accounts (Facebook: Birdhouse Farmers Market, IG: @birdhousefarmersmarket) for weekly updates on kids activities happening at the market!

Community Space: Birdhouse has set aside a vendor space for community service non-profits to bring information and raise funds for their organization. Let us know if your organization would like to table at the market!

LFPA Grant: Local food pantries can purchase directly from our farmers and food producers for their pantry clients. Currently, Birdhouse is partnered with the Food Pantry at Second Baptist Church and The Ram Pantry at VCU.

Birdhouse Community Garden: The garden area is open and accessible 24/7. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the space, harvest what they want, and pull any weeds they see! The garden has signage identifying our many plants and benches where you can sit and relax. See above for more information on getting involved at BCG.
