September Sun Produce farms in the rocky clay of Orange County, Va. They do not use pesticides, herbicides, synthetic fertilizers, or other GMOs making them an “ecologically grown” producer. September Sun Produce uses compost and crop rotation to prioritize soil health and crop quality. These methods are very labor intensive and require a lot of sweat and love from the hands of their farm crew! September Sun Produce also has a free-range flock of laying hens who produce beautiful “rainbow” eggs that are for sale at market. Along with selling at markets, September Sun Produce offers a weekly vegetable CSA (community supported agriculture share) in Richmond, Charlottesville, Orange County, and Gordonsville, Va.
